Protagonist Qin Mu is in the Dragon King Temple with Hu Ling’er when he comes across a suspicious man who seems to have been trapped in a frozen obelisk for hundreds of years.
But, as the man tells him a tale of woe about being Gu Li’Nuan, the mentor of the Yankang Nation’s Crown Prince, and the lone survivor of an attack by the dragon, he then tries to trick Mu’er into releasing him.
But Mu’er has already realized Gu Li’Nuan cannot be trusted and, if he does save him, he will become the man’s next victim.
It is then up to Mu’er to use his own wily skills to turn the tables on the man, while saving his own skin.
