Happy Birthday Alger Wilson
Following on from the birthday visual released for Lord of the Mysteries‘ Klein Moretti earlier in the month, today we have a new celebratory visual for the birthday of Alger Wilson.
The Chinese donghua’s latest birthday visual was released on the anime’s official Weibo account, and has the handsome Tarot Club member also known as The Hanged Man, sitting in front a birthday cake and enjoying a stiff drink.
A seagull’s wing can be seen leaving the frame as another one arrives, and as Alger holds a letter in his hand.
The message that came with the romantic-looking visual says:
🎂 Happy Birthday to Mr. Hanged Man, Alger Wilson!
🌊 Seagulls bring letters from afar, and blessings are already brewed into the fragrant, strong wine.
✨ May the Sea God forever favor the helm in your hands, and let the sea breeze sing a birthday hymn for you today.
The final line, of course, is a tip of the hat to Alger being the Sea God, and a maritime king.
And yes, Alger’s birthday is today — March 20th — and, as far as we know, Stormbringer Alger is currently somewhere in his 30s.
Lord of the Mysteries donghua premiere
The donghua itself (aka Guimi Zhi Zhu) is based on a hugely popular web novel written by Chinese author Ai Qianshui de Wuzei and, as a result, is one of the most anticipated donghua of 2025.
It is scheduled to premiere on July 7th on Tencent’s streaming platforms, which means we will probably get a few more of these cool visuals before then.
