The most recent season of the Chinese donghua Jade Dynasty (aka Zhu Xian) ended in early August, 2024 with rumblings from Cloud Art studio that Season 3 was in production.
It now appears that not only is the production of Jade Dynasty, Season 3 a done deal, the Chinese anime has a premiere schedule, as the animation studio has just updated their Weibo account with a new Jade Dynasty visual and the message:
#诛仙动画 Season 3 (aka Jade Dynasty, Season 3) has reached one million reservations!
Flames scorch the sky, Gui Li (aka Zhang Xiaofan) returns. A new chapter begins, battling the heavens once more.
Jade Dynasty donghua Season 3 in 2025, stay tuned!
S0, no, not a precise premiere date yet, but at least the newest season is on its way some time before the year is over.
And, as someone who rates Jade Dynasty in my Top 10 donghua series (freakin’ love those beautiful character models!), it thrills me no end.
Jade Dynasty, Season 3 has 1 million reservations on Tencent
The “reservations” referred to in Cloud Art’s message, of course, mean the third season of the Jade Dynasty donghua has sparked so much interest among fans, over 1 million people have already pre-registered or expressed their interest in watching the show’s new season via Tencent.
And reaching one million reservations is a pretty darned significant milestone, as it proves Jade Dynasty has a large fanbase that is eagerly awaiting the new season.
It’s also a great promotional achievement for Cloud Art, as it helps them show off the popularity of Jade Dynasty as well as build hype for its release in 2025.
And it works as, yep, I’m hyped. How about you?
