Upcoming Chinese donghua Go West: Overworked (aka Da Xia Qing Shang Gong) has a new poster out, along with confirmation of the Chinese anime’s premiere date — May 13th, 2025.
The poster and date confirmation came out via the BYMENT Studios official Weibo account on Wednesday, along with their comment:

This is some of the first information we have had in quite a while when it comes to Go West: Overworked, which looked like an incredibly fun, unusual and funny original donghua when it got a trailer last year and one a couple of months ago (watch below), and I’ve got to say I’m all-in for it so far.
Especially as the character designs, art style and animation look stellar as well.
Then again, Go West:Overworked is from the same folks who beautifully animated The Westward, so it is to be expected it will be top-notch.
Bilibili, by the way, describes the Go West: Overworked plot like this:
Fifty years ago, the martial world was suddenly invaded by “Chaos.”
Murong Qiong formed the Demonic Sect to resist it, but despite their arduous struggle, victory remained out of reach. Then, the divine emissary Yi Zhihua descended, teaching the warriors a demonic transformation technique that finally allowed them to defeat Chaos.
However, after the emissary departed, the demonic technique spread uncontrollably across the martial world. Disheartened, Murong Qiong retreated into seclusion.
His subordinate, Yu Huabing, seized the opportunity to rise to power, refining the demonic technique and unexpectedly ushering in an era of “Punk Qi”—a vibrant new age for the martial world. But this progress came at a cost: martial artists gradually transformed into “Kung-Fiends.”
Now, a pure-hearted young man named Dongfang Sheng seeks out Murong Qiong, who has been hiding in the Westbound Inn, hoping to restore the martial world to its former glory. Thus begins a tale both absurd and thrilling…
